If it is true that `we are what we eat' - and there is no point trying to dispute the matter because the `matter' is all over our frame! - it is also true that `what we read is what we become'.
This is, sad to say, only too true. It is particularly true in the case of people who are not disciplined enough in knowledge and in virtue. How many times have we heard of individuals claiming that they `can handle it' when it comes to coping with dangerous reading - only to become still another statistic proving the danger that lies hidden in presumption.
Presumption, after all, is just another aspect or facet of pride. And, for those who may have forgotten, `Pride cometh before the fall'.
Those who fall from grace do not fall into a vacuum. They fall headlong into the kingdom of the Antichrist. This is the reason that the sign of every antichrist is pride and its most characteristic expression: DISOBEDIENCE.
The Antichrist, even before his incarnation, already rules in his earthly kingdom through his agents. These agents will always appear with the visible badge of their calling: They will be men and women of this world: carnal, unable to discern spiritual matters.
We have a typical example of this naturalism as opposed to supernaturalism in St. John's Gospel as it is read on Passion Sunday.
Note the difference in levels: The Pharisees (representatives of the Jewish sect) are unable to grasp the supernatural truth which Jesus speaks to them: For them, Abraham is dead. So are the prophets. How can Jesus speak of Abraham as having been glad to see Him! Jesus speaks on a higher level of existence: a supernatural existence which is the fruit of faith; the leaders of the Talmudic sect are unable to ascend to this level and can only comprehend that which is of earth: life and death for them are matters contained between the walls of time and space. There is nothing on the `other' side of that wall which separates the `here and now' and the `beyond'.
Jesus speaks of the `beyond' and His words are incomprehensible to the Talmudists. They are incomprehensible to the Talmudists because His words are supernatural - spiritual; and, the Talmudist is natural. This is why the Talmudists reacted to the words of Jesus in a very natural way when He said to them: "If any man keep My word, he shall not see death forever."
To this statement, understood by those with supernatural grace without the least difficulty became an enigma to the Talmudists who answered quite naturally and quite erroneously: "Now we know that Thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets: and Thou sayest: `If any man keep My word, he shall not taste death forever.' Art Thou greater than Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Whom dost Thou make Thyself?"
Christ knows that Abraham is dead according to the physical separation of body and soul. But, through his faith in the coming of Christ, Abraham was saved from the second death, that is, eternal separation from God. The Talmudists failed to see that Jesus spoke of eternal life of the spirit which begins when the soul is separated from the body. For them, there is nothing beyond this `life' and therefore, they were unable to understand what Jesus meant when He spoke of `eternal life' which is, for us who believe, a life according to grace; a life which elevates our human nature to partake of the divine nature.
For this reason, Jesus says to these fallen away Catholics of the Old Testament who have turned their religion into a naturalistic `Zionaziism': "If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing: it is My Father that glorifieth Me, of whom you say that He is your God, and you have not known Him: but I know Him: And if I shall say that I know Him not, I shall be like to you, a liar."
Here, Jesus contrasts the positive lie with the negative lie: The Talmudists say they know the Father, but they lie because they contradict themselves by denying the works of God the Father through Jesus Christ. Jesus opposes their lie with the negative lie: He would be a liar if He denied knowing the Father. Thus, The Talmudists prove themselves to be liars for rejecting Jesus; Jesus must reject them in order to safeguard the truth, namely, that He knows the Father and does the Father's will.
Jesus clearly states His divinity when He says to the Talmudists: "Before Abraham was made, I am." What could this mean other than that Jesus already existed in the Trinity before Abraham was even born? History and the course of events would have been completely different had these Talmudists accepted the logical conclusions of Christ's words and works. Instead, they perpetuate the reign of Satan in the world and thereby become the historical antichrists.
The Antichrist is a naturalist. His kingdom is built on the premise of nature fallen from grace. Christ is a supernaturalist and His kingdom is built on the premise that all of nature can only be re-elevated to its pristine level of right order by humbly submitting to His divine rule.
The Gospel of Satan-Antichrist is found in the pages of the writings of John Paul II and his fellow anti-popes. His writings are pleasing to all those who are of this world - pleasing to all naturalists. It is pleasing because of its title: "The Open Road to World Peace and Well-being." It is the consummate antithesis of the Franciscan message to the world "Pax et Bonum" - Peace and Well-being: the Gospel of Jesus Christ, condensed in these few words is an invitation and a challenge to man to transcend himself and become Christ-like. The message of Satan is a rejection of this invitation. It is an invitation to remain in the state of rebellion against God. This is why Satan's Gospel appeals to the world while, at the same time, is in opposition to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the Gospel of Satan, there is not need to sacrifice oneself by abstaining from all that is denounced as vice.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is also an `open road to world peace and prosperity'. However, the Christian is called to follow this road in a way completely opposed to that of Satan.
Whoever desires to enter the kingdom of Jesus Christ, must hold to the Commandments. Anyone who desires to be perfect, must sell all that he has and give the money to the poor and coming, must follow Jesus. Whoever wishes to save his soul, must lose it for Christ's sake. Whoever wishes to enter the kingdom of Jesus Christ must cast aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light, which are Jesus Christ. Whoever wishes to follow Christ in His kingdom must not love the world, nor that which is in the world, because "whoever loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."
On the contrary, the follower of Jesus Christ must love his neighbor as he loves himself, because this is how the world will know the followers of Jesus Christ: if they have love for one another.
The person who desires to be Christ's disciple must love his enemies and do good to those who persecute and calumniate him. He must not seek to attract attention to himself when he does good works; he must not let others see his prayers, but must offer them up to his heavenly Father in the secret of his inner chamber; he must not show himself sad when fasting; he must not worry for tomorrow - what he will eat or what he will wear; he must not judge or condemn others; he must be like a light on a mountain, seen by men so that they might praise his heavenly Father. What does all this mean?
It means that the follower of Jesus Christ, the member of His Mystical Body, must follow the road of Christ's Gospel by denying himself in order to become Christ-like.
Only by freeing oneself from the forms of this world, only by putting on Jesus Christ as St. Paul says can peace and well-being be achieved. Christ stands above us as a higher reality towards which we must ascend if we wish to follow the way of the Gospel. For, He is the Way!
The Gospel of Jesus Christ does not leave us on this earth and of this earth. On the contrary, the Gospel tells us to deny ourselves of all that is old; it instructs us to free ourselves of all that ties us to earth - even if that should be our father, mother, our son or daughter. Our ascent upwards, our transcendency is the fundamental dynamism or movement of Christ's Gospel. Herein lies the essential difference between the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Gospel of the Antichrist.
The Gospel of Antichrist is nothing more than a copy of reality as we know it. This Gospel of Antichrist requires no dedication or sacrifice to truth; it requires no self-denial of one's Ego nor does it demand any denial of anything: neither the denial of something within us nor anything to be added to us.
Whereas the Gospel of Jesus Christ demands of us such a way of life that we would be able to say with St. Paul: "Behold, all things are made new" (2 Cor. 5,17), the Gospel of Antichrist (Satan incarnate) forces us to say: "All things remain as they were".
This is why each one who follows the Gospel of Antichrist finds himself in it as he actually is: The Gospel of Antichrist leaves man in his disordered (sinful) life as he was from the beginning.
This is the most profound reason why someone like Rev. Matthew Clark, alleged "bishop" of the Diocese of Rochester, NY, is able to celebrate a "mass" for gays and lesbians. This Modernist clergyman, like all those who follow him willingly or unwillingly, blasphemes the sacredness of God's creation by his gesture of alleged "compassion" for those who have chosen a different `lifestyle.'
This is an example of the implementation of the Gospel of Antichrist as opposed to preaching the need for repentance and conversion as proclaimed by the Gospel.
The Gospel of Antichrist enshrines love for actual reality and it is this love of fallen nature which constitutes the spirit of the kingdom of Antichrist.
Under the hypocritical guise of "compassion" for sinners, the ministers of Antichrist confirm sinners in their sin by pretending that those sins crying out to heaven for vengeance are nothing more than `different lifestyles' equally as good as the lifestyle according to the laws of nature and supernature.
The Gospel of Antichrist has nothing in it of the supernatural because this Gospel does not recognize the supernatural and does not, therefore announce it. This is the Gospel that has supplanted the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Apostate Church born of the Second Vatican Council.
In preaching the Gospel of Antichrist, these clergymen and their followers are forced to abandon any thought of `joyful News.' Man cannot rejoice in his fallen state; he can only pretend to cover his interior misery and disorder by imposing his misery upon others, by persecuting those who refuse to abandon the true Gospel of salvation.
The Gospel of Antichrist, therefore, is the Gospel preached by every heretical sect; it is the Gospel that holds sway in the post-Vatican II sect of which Karol Wojtyla is presently the leader. It has nothing to do with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, unless it be to use the name of Jesus in a completely falsified manner.
There is no unity among those who profess the Gospel of Antichrist because none of them, in their pride and rebellion against Jesus Christ are unable to reject those things what separate them from the true Mystical Body of Jesus Christ.
While they use His Name for fear of alienating the misinformed or the uninformed, they do not speak of that Jesus in Whom we believe. Of them it may well be said when they stand before Him on Judgment Day: "Not everyone who says to me, `Lord,' `Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father in haven shall enter the kingdom of heaven. Many will say to me in that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in they name, and cast out devils in they name, and work may miracles in thy name?' And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you. Depart from me, you workers of iniquity!' (Matt. 7, 21-23).
Needless to say, so many clergymen have not even reached the point where they can prophesy, or cast out devils or work miracles. By this we ought to understand that many who seemingly labored in Christ's name to such a degree that people thought they were working miracles, casting out devils or prophesying with the power of Jesus Christ, were actually performing these illusory feats with the help of Satan.
If devils were cast out in the name and by the power of Jesus, Jesus would know it. If anyone prophesied in His Name and with His power, Jesus would know it. If anyone worked miracles in His Name and with His power, Jesus would know it. In all these things that seemingly were done in His Name, there is only one other source: Satan. This is why Jesus gives the warning to all: He does not know these people. He condemns their evil which so many are led to believe is the work and grace of God.
Everyone who is disobedient to Jesus Christ and His Church only pretends to cast out devils. Anyone who is disobedient to Jesus Christ and His Church only pretends to prophesy in His Name, but in reality prophesys in the name of the devil. Finally, anyone who claims to work miracles in the Name of Jesus Christ but is disobedient to His Church, such a one works false miracles with the aid of the devil.
It is for this reason that Jesus warns against the many false teachers who will abound in the last days. They will proclaim themselves `servants' of the Church, but in truth, they will be nothing but proud devils deceiving those whose humility leaves much to be desired. Of all these, have no doubt, Jesus will say: "Depart from me, you workers of iniquity!"
