Resurrection

Editorial

Pride is a terrible offense against truth. We witnessed this during the dramatic recollection of our Lord's passion and death.

The chief priests and Scribes and elders of both temple and synagogue mocked Jesus, saying: "He saved others, himself he cannot save! If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now; for he said, `I am the Son of God.'" (Matt. 27, 41-43).

The spiritual descendants of the Scribes continue in this same obstinate determination to justify themselves for their ancestors' terrible deed of murdering the Son of God.

The only recorded statement of repentance was uttered by a centurion, a Roman whom the Scribes and Pharisees detested as much as they detested Samaritans: "Truly this man was the Son of God."

The Scribes and the Pharisees were gaining much ground in their work to overthrow the Levitical priesthood and swallow up the people in their rabbinical heresies. Like traitors within any organization, these Scribes were adept at black mail and bribery of the self-serving.

The temple had not yet been destroyed. But this didn't matter. The chief priests were already sufficiently corrupt to abandon their faith so as to be `politically correct.'

It was no difficult thing for them to continue in their evil direction. So, when the frightened soldiers came back to them and reported all that had happened at the tomb, the chief priests and the elders assembled and consulted together as to their next course of action. They decided on bribing the soldiers. Soldiers accustomed to taking orders are not all that concerned with the politics of their superiors. They get what they can, however they can. It was no great thing for them to accept the bribe in exchange for their spreading the lie that "His disciples came by night and stole him while we were sleeping."

St.Matthew tells us that the chief priests were so confident of their control of the government officials that they boldly told the soldiers: "And if the procurator hears of this, we will persuade him and keep you out of trouble."

We are likewise informed that: "They took the money, and did as they were instructed; and this story has been spread abroad among the Jews even to the present day."

Now, if you have any doubt concerning the truth of this recorded statement, approach your friendly neighbohood Rabbi and ask him about Christ's resurrection. Ask him what he thinks of it.

The Modernist Apostate Church is working feverishly to convince Catholics that Christ did not resurrect in the flesh, but resurrected in some kind of `spiritual resurrection' of their own imagination. Holy Scripture? For the Modernist, Holy Scripture must be interpreted symbolically according to their peculiar kabalistic intuitions.

Is it any wonder, then, that the Modernists have little use for Scripture and still less for the Fathers of the Church who are trustworthy bearers of oral tradition?

There is no other religion that teaches the resurrection of the body. The best they can do is talk of `reincarnation' or `metempsychosis' (transmigration of souls) because these religions are not unable to accept the only other conclusion, namely, that death is the end of everything. This, of course, would lead to fatalism. It would be the end of all morality of any use.

Then, Jesus appeared to the eleven Apostles and said to them: "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you all days, even unto the consummation of the world."

History has come almost two thousand years since these words were spoken by Jesus to His Apostles. The Church of the Believers _ the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ, the Roman Catholic Church _ continues to the present day.

Other words of Jesus have been fulfilled in our days as well as the inspired words of St. Paul: We have reached that point in history when the foretold Great Apostasy would take place.

The largest portion of Roman Catholics, led by the apostate clergy of every rank, happily reject their rich spiritual heritage for the hedonistic liberty promised them by Lucifer.

Disregarding the teachings of Jesus Christ, and His command to His Apostles, the once-Catholic Christian world chases after the Beast of the Apocalypse sitting in Rome today.

Beginning with "John XXIII" _ the "good Pope John" _ the antichrists entered the highest and most respected place in the world: the papacy! From this high place, flow all the deceit and error that had once been contained and kept from contaminating the faith of all. For the benefit of genuine Catholics, The Seraph is pleased to present the Encyclical letter of Pope St. Pius X on Modernism. An attentive reading of this Encyclical will show clearly how the Modernists have captured the highest office in the Roman Catholic Church. This Encyclical letter was written and published in 1907 _ just a little over 90 years ago. Behold what the enemies of Christ have accomplished….while most of us slept!
